New Copilot and Suno Collaboration

  • Microsoft's Copilot and Suno make it easy to create AI songs.
  • Just log in, use the plug-in, and type in your song idea.
  • Free for fun, pay for commercial use, and Suno holds rights for free users' songs.

December 20, 2023: You’re sitting at your computer, thinking about a song, maybe about sunny days in Alaska or playful cats. Now, imagine turning that thought into a real song in just a few seconds. Sounds like magic, right?

Well, it’s not magic; it’s technology! Microsoft’s AI chatbot, Copilot, can now create songs on demand, thanks to a new plug-in with Suno, a cool AI music startup.

How Does It Work?

create full songs with copilot

It’s super simple. If you’re a Copilot user, just log in and turn on the Suno plug-in. Think of a line or two about what you want your song to be.

Maybe something like, “I want a folk song about Alaska summers” or “How about a tune about cats, like Cat Power does?”

Suno takes your idea and turns it into a song, usually about a minute or two long. And you get lyrics too! It’s like having a mini songwriting studio right in your computer.

Big tech companies are all jumping into this AI music thing. There’s Meta’s AudioCraft and Google’s YouTube tool that can create music from humming or text prompts and OnePlus AI Music Studio. And lots of startups like Soundful, Magenta, and Beatbox are joining the party with their cool tools.

What About Rights and Sharing?

If you’re just playing around, you can share your AI songs on social media.

But if you want to make money from them, like putting them on YouTube or Spotify, you need to be a paid user.

And remember, Suno keeps the rights for the songs if you’re using the free version.
